NOAA outlook flags another broad U.S. extreme-heat risk
What happened
NOAA's Climate Prediction Center posted a week-two hazards outlook warning of moderate extreme-heat risk for much of the Great Basin, Desert Southwest, Southern Plains, and parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley and Central Plains from July 12 to 15.
