UN dialogue presses for faster, fairer clean-energy deployment
What happened
A United Nations General Assembly dialogue on July 24 brought member states together to review energy-transition progress, share practices, and identify actions needed to accelerate existing global goals. The event description says clean-energy deployment has accelerated since the Paris Agreement, but the world remains off track to keep 1.5 degrees Celsius within reach and needs more finance, technology deployment, cooperation, and attention to a just transition.
