Montenegro advances 150 MW of solar and 400 MW of pumped storage

What happened

Masdar and Montenegro's national utility EPCG signed agreements covering two solar projects totaling 150 megawatts and a 400-megawatt pumped-hydro storage project. Their joint venture targets up to 2 gigawatts across solar, wind, hydropower, pumped storage, and batteries, with potential exports through Montenegro's subsea interconnector to Italy.
