Donation transparency
ACC is committed to openness, accountability, and making donation-allocation records available to anyone who requests them.
After a donation
Keep the receipt from the checkout you used. For a gift through ACC, you can request the available ACC payment and allocation records. An outside-transfer record is separate from the payment receipt and is available only after the transfer is recorded. For direct-recipient gifts, the recipient or its payment platform supplies the receipt.
The intended allocation model
Only donations whose dedicated link is Donate directly to ACC are retained for ACC’s climate education, practical action resources, community tools, operations, and public reporting. ACC does not keep gifts assigned to outside recipients as support for ACC; those gifts are allocated to the chosen organization (or one ACC selects).
Each ACC-managed choice has its own GoDaddy Pay Link. The link identifies the destination, so there is no separate ACC preference form or tracking code to paste into Notes. GoDaddy processes the payment to ACC; it does not automatically transfer it to an outside organization. ACC manually reconciles the payment and forwards available designated funds. Processing fees, refunds, and transfers are recorded separately, and fees or refunds may reduce the amount forwarded.
Available allocation records identify the outside recipient, amount sent, transfer date, and supporting receipt or transaction confirmation. For gifts to ACC, the record identifies ACC and the recorded purpose. Request records through ACC’s contact page. Automatic ACC proof emails are not part of this checkout flow.
Five choices use direct-recipient routes. NatureJAB gifts use JAB Innovations’ donation page. AI Now Institute, Food & Water Watch and WattTime use their own donation pages; CodeCarbon uses GitHub Sponsors. You complete those gifts with the recipient or its platform, not ACC. Receipts and payment records come from that recipient or provider; ACC does not receive, forward, or independently verify those payments.
