Free ACC Sustainability Companion
Read why an action matters in the Sustainable Living Guide. Then use the Companion to choose a section, complete five tasks at your pace, save progress, and return without losing your place.
Guide + Companion
The Guide provides the context. The Companion keeps the work small, visible, and easy to return to. You are never expected to work on all 75 tasks at once.
Start with Section 1, or choose the area that fits your life now.
Work through one stage without losing your place or seeing everything at once.
A completed stage stays saved and can be reopened whenever you want to review or change it.
Why collective progress matters
ACC's base scenario models people in 100 million households completing and maintaining Sections 1-3. Together, those actions equal a modeled 400 million metric tons CO2e per year - about 6.3% of the EPA gross U.S. annual emissions reference used in Guide Goals.
The Companion turns that model into a practical path. It helps people reduce and counterbalance part of the emissions tied to everyday living without claiming a perfect personal offset.

Phone-ready web app
Use it like a small ACC app: open the Companion quickly, keep working through your guide sections, and sync with your member account when you are signed in.
Install options appear on supported browsers after the live site loads.
Step 1 of 3 • Choose a guide section
Each section covers a different part of the guide and contains 15 tasks. Choose one section now; you can switch whenever your priorities change.
Sections tell you what part of the guide you are working on. Stages show how deeply you are building that part into everyday life.
Current: Section 1 of 5 — Everyday Foundation
Step 2 of 3 • Choose a stage
Every section uses the same three levels. Start with realistic first wins, build repeatable household systems, then take on bigger actions that need planning or verification.
Step 3 of 3 • Your five tasks
Complete these five tasks gradually. A checkmark records progress; it does not by itself claim a measured emissions reduction.
Make the change stick
Write down what helped, what got in the way, and what you want to repeat or improve next.
Optional reminders
Turn on local browser reminders for this device. For full push notifications after the browser is closed, ACC will need a later app or server notification upgrade.
Reminders are off.
Milestones
Complete five low-cost, renter-friendly starting actions in each of the five guide sections.
Build repeatable routines, compare options, and complete practical household upgrades across all five sections.
Make durable investments, use verified programs, and build regenerative systems without skipping evidence or safety.
