More than 200 homes were damaged by solar-panel fires in one year.
The source reported 212 incidents involving solar panels across multiple property types, not 212 damaged homes. It identified 102 residential incidents, while leaving causation and denominators unresolved.
02 Misleading — Ignition Is Not Fire BehaviorA flat Northwest lightning trend shows recent major wildfires had little to do with climate change.
Lightning counts describe one ignition pathway. They cannot, by themselves, establish how heat, humidity, wind, and fuel moisture affected growth after ignition or prove that climate had little role in burned area.
03 Misleading — Scale And Recyclability DistortedWind, solar, and battery systems will create the biggest and most toxic garbage heaps in human history.
Renewable-energy equipment creates real end-of-life waste, but most turbine mass and most solar-module mass consist of recyclable materials. Difficult components and weak collection systems do not make this history's largest toxic waste stream.
04 Misleading — False Either-OrRising cooling costs are not due to climate change.
Hotter weather raises cooling demand, while electricity prices, buildings, equipment, behavior, urban heat, and other factors also shape bills. Multiple causes do not support a categorical claim that climate has no role.
